Fri 12-4-2015. Davis Wing Security Office. Above drop ceiling: clean up rubble, vacuum debris, patch about a dozen spots of asbestos pipe insulation.

Physics 137. Vacuum floor and surfaces for HVAC replacement.

Thornton D105. Day 5. 2 trips to asbestos dumpster. Replace 2-stage filter for Neg Air #2.


Thu 12-3-2015. Thornton D105. Day 4. Liquid mercury found on the floor under a cabinet. At first it looked like solder drips from plumbing where sink was disconnected. You can see the perfectly round balls of liquid mercury. So EHS was contacted and cleaned it up while we did other things and returned after lunch. The posted Fire Diamond indicates 4 Extreme health risk. See Training for quick reference on how to read the diamond.

Project Services staff meeting at Zehmer Hall. PS is 150 employees of the 1,200 in Facilities Management, achieved $44 million of work last year. Rugby Apartments/O'Neil Hall was Project Services' biggest project since the department was organized about 7 years ago.

Help sign shop haul 3 large boxes of wooden stakes and 2 snow blowers to storage unit.
